Motohiko Nagoshi Tanzawa

Samurai International Inc. is a Japanese corporation, represented by Motohiko Nagoshi Tanzawa, a mixing engineer from an ancient Samurai family. We are now determined to expand our market so that more people can enjoy our ultra-high-performance consumer/professional audio products. This website is meant to serve such purposes. We start by introducing IKEDA SOUND Lab.'s handmade analogue audio products of world-class quality to audiophiles around the world.

Household electrical appliances made in Japan are often renumbered and sold in the US at cheaper prices than in Japan. It is true that the US government criticizes this as "dumping." However, when it comes to handmade audio products, the story is different. They are bought and sold by overseas brokers at outrageous prices.

All the audio products we offer are handmade and only a limited number can be produced each week. Our target customers are connoisseurs for whom it is only natural to go to various kinds of concerts regularly. Our products are undoubtedly among the finest performing sound systems available in the world.

What is more, these products are never sold at a discount even in Japan. Samurai International Inc. sets the prices for overseas customers so that all audiophiles in the world can buy our products at the same rates (excluding customs and other duties levied by the customer's country.) As a business, we stand in the vanguard of globalization.

As a descendant of an ancient Samurai family,

I place a premium on equality of opportunity.

Dear Sirs,

In real life, I have never met a non-Japanese Samurai. Nevertheless, there were times when even non-Japanese people were able to be a samurai if they wanted to. Originally, everyone could be a samurai. Japan had such equality of opportunity in the past.

However, a Shogun who led the government at some point in the history deprived the general public of their right to become a samurai. From then on, samurai was the most privileged class, second only to the Emperor, the symbol of national prestige, and the nobility. The great majority of the people were farmers and had to belong to the lowest class for several hundred years.

The aim of my business is to provide music lovers throughout the world with Hi-End Audio Products Made in Nippon, which represent the tradition of Japanese craftsmanship. With the importance of equality of opportunity in mind, we do not discount our products even in Japan, and market the same products at the same prices all over the world. (Customers must pay government taxes.)

Although some might think that Japan is an exclusive society, Japan is a WTO member country that promotes free trade. No import duties are charged on such goods as high-end audio products and luxury cars. A consumption tax is levied on all goods and services in Japan just like state tax in the US and value added tax (V.A.T.) in the UK and the other EU countries. However, it is only 5%. I ask all music enthusiasts in the world to request their country's government to promote free trade. Now that globalism has become a popular concept, it can be said that the promotion of free trade is among the first things to be done in order to achieve equality of opportunity for all.

Best regards from Rising Sun,
Motohiko Nagoshi Tanzawa
